Q: What Activities does Community of
Caring perform?
A: Community of Caring performs Domestic and International
activities designed to increase the quality of life for those
needing help. To that end, virtually any basically humanitarian
activity is often done, however feeding, sheltering, and medical
assistance are key activities for CoC.
Q: What Domestic
activities do they perform?
A: Residence for homeless, hot meals, food pantry, transitional housing units and meeting needs for area residents as they arise. We also
collect food, clothing, medicines and other necessities for our
International affiliates from these Domestic operation sites.
Q: What International activities do they
perform?
A: We regularly ship collections of needed goods to international
locations. Community of Caring has members / autonomous branches in North and South
America, the Caribbean, and several African countries. Branches in
those locales determine and implement activities depending on their
community needs.
Q: Is Community of Caring registered?
A: Yes. We are registered with the US Agency for International Development as a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO).
This requires a rigorous and lengthy certification process.
Q: Does Community of Caring sponsor any regular missionary events/trips?
A: Yes! Annually, we perform "Mission of Mercy" trips to Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Africa! We encourage you to get involved!
