Prepare to be kind!  The Kindness Campaign is coming

starting November 18.  Check back for more details.

Share the Spirit Luncheon
On the first Thursday of the month you're invited to lunch with Mother Kennedy.  This informal and free event gives an opportunity to learn from her 83 years of wisdom, love, and service.

The luncheon is at Dayenu House, located at 261 E. 21st Street in Erie.  The next luncheon is scheduled for November 5, 2009, from 12-1:30 p.m.  Mother will not be present this time but we will still have lunch together and inspire each other.

Come be first to find out about the Kindness Campaign!

RSVP is helpful but not necessary.  Contact Grace Kennedy at 456-6661 for more information.

"Here and There" Food and Clothing Drive

Thanks for your support!  In October we loaded a large truck with food, clothes, and assorted items (bikes, sewing machines, tools, etc) and lots of shoes.

These items are now on their way to Haiti, where they will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you from the Haitian people!

For more information or to help with any of these events, contact Grace Kennedy at 814-456-6661 or send an email to caring@velocity.net

Holidays

Our annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Wednesday, November 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The dinner will take place in the main dining room at 245 E. 8th St.

Dinner is free and open to the public.  Please join us!

Thanksgiving "Baskets"

We will distribute free Thanksgiving dinner "baskets" during the week of Thanksgiving.  These include a turkey and all the fixings for a traditional holiday meal.

We began taking names Monday morning, November 2.  Our list was full in less than three hours (we took 75 names).

As you see, the need is great.  If you would like to donate a turkey, a full dinner, or just some of the fixings, please contact us at 456-6661.

Consider adopting a family for Christmas.  You can often find a needy family through your church or local food pantry.  You can make a huge difference in someone's life!
