The Community of Caring

It's cold in Erie! Please donate your gently used coats and blankets.
At the shelter we also always need pillows, bed linens (twin size), toiletries such as shampoo, soap, lotion, toothpaste and toothbrushes, feminine products and razors. Tissues and hand sanitizer are useful, too.

If you have other items to donate and aren't sure if we can use it, please call us at 456-6661 or email caring@velocity.net.

Community of Caring is a multi-funded organization. We receive both public and private funds. An important source of support consists of individual private donations.

As we approach the holiday season, needs are growing, especially with jobs and affordable housing so difficult to find. Please consider either a one-time donation or a regular pledge. Donations are tax-deductible.

COC is committed to making the best possible use of your gifts and all our resources. If you want a gift to be used for a particular purpose, just let us know. An audit is done each year by an independent CPA and may be viewed at the main office (245 E. 8th St. ) or electronically by request.

"Here and There" Food and Clothing Drive

Thanks to the support of the wonderfully caring Erie community the drive was a huge success.

We filled a truck with all sorts of necessities -- food, clothes, shoes, bikes, sewing machines, tools, etc.

These are now on their way to Haiti where they will go to people who desperately need them.
